The 2023 Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is approaching rapidly. Anticipation is building, and the only thing that can quell the excitement of delicious Southern cuisine is a checklist of necessary preparations. We all have some planning to do before we’re en route to the tasting tents in September. With that in mind, make it worthwhile and follow the tips below for a seamless joyride.
With free-flowing drinks, it is essential to have a safe and reliable plan to return home. Bring a designated driver or utilize a ride share. There will be plenty of beer, wines, and assorted cocktails available all weekend; be sure you make it home safely.
If applicable, be sure to find someone to watch your little ones (pets included). AFWF is for adults aged 21 and above, and children will not be admitted.
For our Gourmet Gatherings, including intimate dinners and brunches, please dress in accordance with the restaurant's ambiance. For our outdoor Tasting Tents, we suggest attire suitable for the weather. Between the 150+ tasting stations all weekend and the dance floor, you’ll be doing a lot of walking, so don't forget to wear shoes that allow you to walk comfortably. And remember to bring sunblock!
When on your feet in the Atlanta heat, it is of the utmost importance to stay hydrated. Mix in a bottle or two of Deer Park water in between plates and beverages.
