Peace Design – Atlanta, GA
Chefs are fond of saying, “We eat first with our eyes,” so it’s no wonder that principle extends to the environments in which we eat. The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival brings together not only the brightest minds in Southern food and drink, but also stand-out designers to make the Festival grounds as delicious to look at as the bites and sips are to consume.
Returning again to lead the efforts to create a unique aesthetic for the Festival is Atlanta-based William Peace, of Peace Design. Peace has a national reputation for high-end residential transformations, as well as designing select destination restaurants.
In addition to creating an overall décor plan for the weekend, Peace and his team of skilled designers have also created a stunning look for the Connoisseur Lounge, which will be unveiled during Festival weekend.
The inspiration for the 2013 lounge was the classic Southern hunting club with rich woods and leathers, crystal decanters, great artwork and a beautiful bar. Peace and team have taken this quintessential Southern look to a new level with pops of color, a mix of contemporary and classic pieces and fantastic accessories. In 2014, the Lounge embodied the beautiful beaches of the region with softer colors, seagrass rugs and natural woods.
The 2015 Lounge will infuse classic Southern style with sleek modern elements to reflect the cosmopolitan areas of the region while honoring traditional Southern décor and charm.
