Connoisseur Lounge
Contemporary Art meets Southern Design

The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival’s Connoisseur Lounge is the ultimate in taste, luxury and Southern style. It is a natural fit, then, that the Festival tapped Louisville, KY-based 21c Museum Hotels to design the space, since those same values are at the core of the stunning hotels they build. For the 2012 Connoisseur Lounge, the 21c design team pulled from their signature design aesthetic and extensive collection of contemporary art to let guests encounter visions of nature in the 21st century where the virtual and the organic coexist and merge in the artistic imagination.
The Connoisseur Lounge will feature multi-media installations including projection, sculpture and digital images to create an environment that feels both otherworldly and elegant. Featured artists include Jennifer Steinkamp, Ellen Koois, E.V. Day and Matt Collishaw among others. The Lounge will also feature a bar created by artist Eduardo Sarabia with ceramic images that depict the history of the agave plant.
With the help of Georgia-based Housley Enterprises, the state-of-the-art kitchen features custom solid wood cabinetry, granite countertops and Viking appliances. The result is a highly-curated environment in which each view is a feast for the eyes, fit for connoisseurs of food, drink and art.
