Brett Bassett is a beverage industry professional from Little Rock, Arkansas. Following in the footsteps of his father, Chef Mark Abernathy, he has devoted his professional career to the hospitality industry. Formerly as the Beverage Director of Yellow Rocket Concepts, the largest privately owned restaurant group in Arkansas, he curated cocktail, beer, wine and education programs for five different concepts over seven locations. In 2016 he was offered and accepted invitations to Oregon Pinot Camp and Camp Runamok. Most recently, Brett served as a United States Ambassador for the official launch of the Bat Friendly Agave Program in Guadalajara, Mexico and sat on a panel for the Mezcal Cultural Fair in Colima, Mexico.
Brett currently works for De Nux Distributors and is the President of United States Bartenders Guild, Central Arkansas. He holds certifications from The Master Court of Sommeliers, The Cicerone Certification Program, and Pernod Ricard USA, Beverage Alcohol Resource.
