A native of Gujarat, India and Oxford, MS Chef Vishwesh Bhatt joined award-winning chef John Currence’s staff in 2001 and has since put himself on the map as one of the most talented chefs in the South, opening Snackbar in 2009. Combining Southern and subcontinental influences, he has created a menu that has gained him culinary fame. Snackbar has been recognized by local and national media as one of the finest restaurants in the South. Vishwesh has most recently been named Corporate Chef of City Grocery Restaurant Group to oversee kitchens at City Grocery, Snackbar, Big Bad Breakfast, Main Event Catering, and Lamar Lounge. He resides in Oxford, MS with his wife, Teresa and his two dogs, Pogo & Tula.
