Chef Colin Bedford was recruited to The Fearrington House in 2005 as Executive Sous Chef after graduating from Yeovil College in Somerset with a Diploma in Hospitality, working as an apprentice at The Castle Hotel in England and a Junior Sous Chef at The Prince Of Wales Hotel in Canada. He became Executive Chef in 2008 and has transformed culinary programs throughout Fearrington Village, and taken fine dining cuisine at The Fearrington House Restaurant and casual dining at The Fearrington granary to a higher level. Colin’s exceptional menus have won over loyal diners, and won critical acclaim, including The Fearrington House nationally ranking as one of three Best Farm-to-Table Restaurants (FOUR Magazine), Top 10 Best Restaurants in America (OpenTable), and in the 100 Best Restaurants in the South (Southern Living). Colin has appeared on NBC’s the “TODAY” show twice to share his cooking skills.
