Born and raised in Upstate New York, Jason Newman started his culinary career path in front of a pizza oven. While working on his dual degree in Culinary Arts and Hotel Management in New York, Jason honed his skills in a family-style Italian restaurant. In 2004, Jason left the land of red sauce behind in search of warmer weather and landed in Charlotte. He worked at the established McIntosh’s Steaks and Seafood before joining Chef Bruce Moffett at Barrington’s Restaurant in 2009. At Barrington’s, Jason started as a line cook and has worked his way up to executive chef, bringing hard work and talent to every meal, every day.
