Daniel Herget is the chef of Little Octopus, a vibrant Nashville restaurant focused on fresh, clean fare inspired by the flavors of the Caribbean. After garnering rave reviews as a pop-up, Little Octopus opened in Nashville’s The Gulch neighborhood in January of 2017. Little Octopus’ seasonally driven menu pleases every palate from the from the strictest vegan to the dedicated carnivore, allowing guests to feel good about the food they’re eating without sacrificing flavor or creativity. Herget’s menu focuses on bold Caribbean flavors, inspired by his childhood in Florida and his experience in numerous Miami kitchens. The menu’s diversity in both flavors and cooking styles reflects the rich history of Caribbean cuisine and the myriad of global influences behind it– from Spanish and French to Indian and Lebanese.
