Aarti Sequeira, TV host and cookbook author, jokes that her love of food began in the womb (she was a 10-pound baby)! Sequeira won Food Network Star with her trademark combination of infectious cackle and unique food signature: American favorites with an Indian soul. She hosted her own shows (Aarti Party, Hidden Eats), judged cooking competitions (Guys Grocery Games, Cooks vs. Cons, Christmas Cookie Challenge). Off-network, she is a colorful, memorable guest on Today Show, The Talk, Home and Family and Dr. Oz. A gifted writer, Sequeira published her first cookbook, Aarti Paarti: An American Kitchen with an Indian Soul (Grand Central) and wrote a nationally-syndicated column for the Associated Press entitled “World’s Fare” which walked readers through the international aisle via simple weeknight recipes. After food, Sequeira’s second love is journalism: she holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University, and worked as a producer at CNN.
