Originally hailing from New England, beverage-guru Greg Best has several years of experience in the restaurant industry. He has been frequently credited for igniting the craft cocktail movement in Atlanta, and during his tenure as founding partner at Atlanta’s Holeman and Finch Public House, Best earned numerous accolades including two consecutive nominations as a James Beard Outstanding Bar Program finalist. A relentless barman at heart, Best’s innovative cocktail recipes can be found in such prominent publications as Spritz, The PDT Cocktail Book, and the SFA Guide to cocktails. In an Atlanta TEDxTALK, Best delivered a rousing dissertation on “The Role of a Social Chemist,” identifying his craft as one that goes far beyond serving drinks. Through an increasing number of avenues, including his recent restaurant venture, Ticonderoga Club, where he is a co-collaborator, Best continues to refresh spirits. Greg Best also happens to be a connoisseur of fried steak and regional lightning storms.
