Jennifer V. Cole

Mississippi-born Jennifer V. Cole is a freelance writer and editor currently eating her way around the globe. She is the Editor at Large for Bake From Scratch and regularly contributes to publications such as Garden & Gun, Food & Wine, Extra Crispy, Gravy, Punch, Modern Farmer, and more. After graduating with honors from Auburn University with a triple major in Economics, French, and German, she worked in New York at TIME magazine and as an editor for Travel + Leisure before returning to the South where she was Deputy Editor at Southern Living. She is the co-author with Isaac Toups of “Chasing the Gator” (Little, Brown and Company), a deep—and raucously entertaining—look into modern Cajun food, out Fall 2018. Cole speaks French, German, and Italian—and enough Dutch to get in trouble. She takes her bourbon neat.
