Josiah Moody began his brewing career in 2010 by cleaning kegs at the oldest brewpub in Arkansas, Vino’s Brewpub, in Little Rock. By 2011 Moody was promoted to Head Brewer. Moody produced many new beer styles and has received numerous awards and acclaim for his work while at Vino’s. In particular, Moody worked intimately with Dunbar Community Garden, incorporating their produce (plums, scorpion peppers, locally grown hops, lavender, pluots, etc.) in various brews. In 2014, Moody launched his own brand of beers, Moody Brews™, to wide acclaim statewide. Moody was the state’s first “gypsy brewer,” a brewer who traveled to a partner brewery to produce his beer. Moody has partnered with several breweries in his own state as well as outside of Arkansas. In 2017, Moody accepted the Head Brewer position for Bike Rack Brewing Company’s newly expanded production brewery in Bentonville, Arkansas.
