Ashley Bottoms, a Georgia native, found her love for baking and pastry at a young age. After receiving her first Easy-Bake Oven and cooking alongside her grandmother and mother, Bottoms knew this was the career path for her. She went on to get her baking and pastry degree at Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, NC, followed by a pastry position at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. The Biltmore Estate gave her a strong understanding of what sourcing locally and seasonally meant for her baking. Bottoms then moved to Nashville, TN, where she was introduced to a vibrant coffee culture and tasked with developing an equally strong baking and pastry program as Pastry Chef of Barista Parlor. Now, Bottoms resides in Chattanooga, TN, as she hones her skills as Ice Cream and Pastry Chef of Clumpies Ice Cream Company. She combines her classic French training with a pinch of nostalgia, creating ice cream with the same love and dedication to the art that brought her to baking and pastry.
