Maggie Huff grew up in Dallas and worked in many facets of the restaurant industry prior to moving to NYC to attend culinary school at the French Culinary Institute. Following graduation, she worked in NYC for several years before returning to Dallas to become Pastry Chef at Stephan Pyles, and to work with then Executive Chef, Matt McCallister. Afterwards, she went on to gain more praise for her sophisticated desserts at the Pyramid Room in the Fairmont Hotel. Huff joined FT33 about a year after it opened when Chef/Owner, Matt McCallister, offered her the pastry chef position, partly due to her unique ability to blend elements of the savory world into delicious desserts. At FT33, Huff and McCallister collaborate on many different parts of the menu, creating inventive savory and sweet dishes. Huff has earned praise in Dallas as one of the top pastry chefs. She continues to push the envelope in desserts, becoming a semifinalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef by the James Beard Foundation in 2017.
