Maria fell in love with farm-to-table comfort food during a stint working in the kitchen at Emandal Farm, a 1000 acre family resort nestled in the foothills of California's Sierra-range. Under head chef Tamara Adams, Emandal is well known for delicious family-style meals made with ingredients sourced from the farm and its two acre organic garden. This experience ignited her passion for making and sharing good quality scratch-made food. She spent several years crafting her doughnut/coffee shop dream and countless hours in the test kitchen developing the dough, glaze, and filling recipes used daily in the Revolution Doughnuts kitchens.
