Rosa Thurnher is an entrepreneur, mother, and proud Atlantan. She owns El Ponce, La Tiendita, La Palapa, and Sirena Tierra. She is an alumni of the James Beard Foundation Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership program, and is known for her resilience and innovative spirit.
For over a decade, Rosa owned and operated the legendary El Bar until the pandemic led to its closure. As a serial entrepreneur, she thrives on challenges and is deeply committed to empowering women, firmly advocating for equity and inclusion. Before her foray into hospitality, Rosa made significant contributions to the fashion industry. She co-founded Factory Girls Atlanta, an inclusive fashion incubator, and was recognized by Southern Living as one of the "50 People Who Are Changing The South" in 2015.
Rosa's lifelong passion revolves around uniting women and fostering career growth. She's also a strong advocate for environmental conservation and human rights, recognizing the need for change in both the fashion and food industries. Rosa firmly believes that educating consumers about supporting Slow Fashion and Slow Food can create a better world for future generations and amplify the voices of the marginalized.
