Congratulations to John Lasater of Hattie B’s for winning the 2016 Best of the Fest. At this year’s 6th annual Atlanta Food & Wine Festival, PNC Bank hosted its first ever Best of the Fest contest which encouraged Festival attendees to use wooden coins to vote for their favorite bites. With nearly 50 different food vendors ranging from gelato to smoked trout sliders, only one could be named the 2016 PNC Best of the Fest. Over 2,600 festival attendees voted between Friday June 3 and Sunday June 5, and John Lasater of Hattie B’s out of Nashville, TN stole the show with their signature bone-in spicy, fried chicken bite. “We served a frenched mid-joint wing from Joyce Farms dressed out with our signature Hattie B’s Hot Blend. Atlanta loved the Heat!!” Said John of his winning bite. Not only have they earned themselves some serious bragging rights, but they will also receive a cash prize of $1,000 courtesy of PNC Bank.
